It’s live!
Hello all,
I’m excited to announce that The Green Buffalo, the film I directed for Patagonia, is live and watchable on YouTube!
We had a great premier this past weekend at a friend’s photo studio in Charleston. Danny Desjarlais—the protagonist of the film—was in the house along with his wife, Lannoy.
There was a great turnout and the audience was super engaged. We held a Q&A afterwards with Danny and local architect / hempcrete expert, April Magill.
Please watch the film and share it with anyone you think would be interested.
It’s hard to overestimate the cumulative impact of adopting these new (very old) biogenic building materials (like hempcrete). The construction sector is the 3rd largest emitter of CO2 globally. Construction debris fills an estimated 45% of US landfills. Through the adoption of plant-based, high-performing materials, we can make our buildings carbon banks — solving our affordable housing crisis while also meeting our emission reduction goals to avoid the worst of climate change.
We need a ground swell!
